QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Ø 5 ‘O’ Levels.
Ø At least 2 years’ experience FMCG retail industry on similar position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Effective and efficient implementation of the customer care and operational activities in the Front End department, maintaining high levels of service delivery, aimed at offering an exceptional shopping experience for the customers.
Ø Till Operator is responsible for attaining set sales targets through processing transactions and serving customers with speed & accuracy, demonstrating excellent product knowledge & high levels of professionalism when dealing with customers
Ø Effectively & efficiently implement of Front End department processes to ensure smooth transaction processing at all times.
Ø To implements departmental plans and adhere set service delivery turnaround times aimed at achieving number of products sold and customer count target.
Ø Ensure availability at till points at all times ready to serve customers.
Ø Processes all transactions through scanning products, collecting payments, counting the money from the cash drawer and compares receipts with revenues.
Ø Solves customer enquiries that may arise from time to time.
Ø Discerns and promptly escalates queries that require more time to the Front End Supervisor or Customer Care Supervisor to avoid congestion at the till points.
Ø Assists with the packing of customer products as necessary
Ø Delivers excellent standards of customer service at all times by listening, understanding and dealing with customer queries in a confident, professional, knowledgeable and friendly manner.
Ø Obtains and implements information on promotions of the day and apply upselling
Ø Obtains and shares customer feedback with management during scheduled meetings and debrief sessions.
Ø Adheres to the set housekeeping and hygiene standards of the Front End department.
Ø Consults and obtains clarity from the Supervisor when in doubt regarding any provisions of service.
Ø Implements and maintain a high level of personal grooming and hygiene to complement the standard of the store at all times.
Ø Participate in quarterly staff performance appraisals and ensure adherence to scheduled staff development/training programmes.
Ø Effectively display time management, initiative, teamwork and communication skills, adhering to laid down procedures.
Ø Carrying out any other relevant functions as assigned.
