QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Ø A Diploma or Degree in Marketing Management
Ø Minimum of 5 Ordinary Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
Ø At least 3 years’ working experience in similar position
Ø Working experience in retail FMCG industry is an added advantage
JOB DESCRIPTION
Ø Reporting to the Retail Shop Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for handling all marketing activities and functions, such as creating demand for all shop products, promoting good corporate image, managing promotional initiatives and stakeholder engagements.
Ø Responsible for supporting the work of the Retail Shop Manager and supervising the entire marketing team on all initiatives directed at brand awareness, and maximizing profits through developing ideal marketing strategies and marketing campaigns.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø The position exists to drive business performance through the effective implementation of client relationship management principles which helps attract and retain customers.
Ø Meeting sales targets and objectives of the marketing plan.
Ø Developing and implementing appropriate selling and marketing strategies
Ø Personal selling, customer visits and relationship marketing.
Ø Opening new and sustainable markets for the company.
Ø Conduct regular market analysis, understanding competitor activity in terms of contemporary customer care interventions and build required market intelligence.
Ø Keep abreast of market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through reading of pertinent literature and market analysis
Ø Collate all the market intelligence information, and share with store management for strategic planning purposes.
Ø Regularly engage with customers and obtain feedback and customer expectations on the speed of service, product range, product mix and quality.
Ø Review and consider all matters relating to service delivery, speed and quality of service and design appropriate strategies in consultation with the Assistant Shop Manager to address customer needs and expectations.
Ø Ensure all Till Operators are aware of the promotions, encourage upselling
Ø Performing competitive analysis and identifying gaps and opportunities in the marketplace
Ø Planning, executing and monitoring promotional and advertising campaigns and activities.
Ø Receive information from management on scheduled promotions, and implement appropriate inventions to ensure effective execution of such promotions.
Ø Collate customer feedback regarding the promotion together with relevant promotion statistics for onward submission to the store management.
Ø Take a lead role in communicating with different stakeholders on the running promotions.
Ø Liaising with all stakeholders with the aim of fostering sustainable relationships, brand association and brand loyalty
Ø Scouting for Tenders and prepare a timetable to visit corporate customers together with the store management.
Ø Organizing and coordinating sales promotions, funny day promotions and trade shows.
Ø Provide recommendations to the store management on the possible and appropriate social responsibility activities which help advance the store’s strategic objectives, at the same time increasing the organization’s brand visibility.
Ø Reporting to the Retail Shop Manager.
