SOFTWARE TEST ANALYST
Equals Solutions is a FinTech company that provides digital consumer credit management solutions to
institutions. The company offers a comprehensive set of automated, insight-driven services to help
financial institutions achieve the digital transformation of the consumer credit management journey.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the Software Test Analyst
post.
The Job
Reporting to the Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, the successful candidate will among other things be
responsible for:
Evaluating computer software in the development phase to ensure that the system or product meets
specific technical requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across the software development
lifecycle, implementing and refining quality assurance policies.
• Review design specifications to grasp software scope and requirements, translating them into
detailed test plans.
• Conduct both automated and manual tests to verify software functionality aligns with user
requirements, promptly reporting bugs to developers.
• Identify, log, and recreate bugs, maintaining thorough defect logs throughout testing.
• Manage test data, tools, and scripts, ensuring testing is completed within agreed timeframes
and company policies.
• Monitor live deployments, evaluate new testing tools, and handle multiple projects
simultaneously to meet end user expectations effectively.
The Person
The ideal applicant should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes:
• A degree in Information Systems, Computer Sciences or equivalent.
• Cyber security certification is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in software test analysis.
• A proven record of experience working with computer software and coding.
• Software testing course.
• Java/python training.
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in test techniques and programming.
• Above-average planning and organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to track and write articulate reports on technical assessments.
• Project management skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Efficient planning skills and an ability to adhere to deadlines.
