The University seeks to recruit applicants with requisite qualifications, skills and experience for the following posts in the Division of Student Affairs:
SENIOR WARDEN (1 POST)

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or Public Administration and at least a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a student affairs or residential life setting. A Master’s Degree in these fields is desirable. Applicants must have experience in working with a diverse student population and understanding the unique needs of university students. Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to student conduct and residential life is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Overseeing the management of student accommodation
- Providing leadership and guidance to wardens and other staff members involved in the management of residences.
- Maintaining a safe and secure residential environment
- Promoting a supporting an inclusive residential community
- Conducting regular evaluations of the physical condition and facilities of residences, identifying areas for renovation or improvement.
- Seeking feedback from students and staff to gather insights into the quality of the residential experience and identifying areas for enhancement.
- Ensuring the general welfare of all students in both campus and off-campus accommodation
- Planning and monitoring logistical services for non-resident students
- Mediating in grievances between tenants and service providers
- Counselling students on matters relating to health, safety, and welfare
- Liaising with the Senior Proctor, Counsellors, and the Dean of Students on matters affecting the social life of students in the residences
- Preparing and maintaining accurate records of residence management activities, including incident reports and student records, ensuring that these records are handled with sensitivity and respect for privacy.
- Carrying out any other duties as delegated by the Dean of Students.
