The University seeks to recruit applicants with requisite qualifications, skills and experience for the following posts in the Division of Student Affairs:

WARDEN (1 POST)
Division of Student Affairs

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences/ Education or similar field and have relevant post-qualification experience in working with young adults in a University Environment.

Duties

The duties and responsibilities of the incumbent will include the following:

• Ensuring that students’ residences are managed efficiently,
• Ensuring that high quality residential facilities and environs are maintained in students’ residences,
• Maintaining an environment conducive to study and learning in students’ residences,
• Enforcing both the Ordinance 30 and the Code of Conduct in the Halls of Residence,
• Providing efficient supervision of sub-wardens,
• Ensuring the general welfare of all students in both campus and off campus accommodation,
• Planning and monitoring of logistical services for non-resident students,
• Mediating in grievances between tenants and service providers,
• Monitoring the general welfare of non-resident students,
• Administering all other support services for non-resident students,
• Counselling students on matters relating to health, safety and welfare,
• Liaising with the Senior Proctor, Proctors, Counsellors and the Dean of Students on matters affecting the social life of students in the residences,
• Carrying out any other duties as delegated by the Dean of Students
