WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- Formulate the credit underwriting strategy.
- Champion the review of credit policies and procedures.
- Manage credit processes for Board Credit.
- Communicate decisions of Board Credit Committee to Lending Units.
- Oversee the preparation of the information pack of recommended credit proposals to EXCO and Board Committees for consideration.
- Review resolutions and offer letters to clients.
- Visit borrowing clients for independent analysis and appreciation of risk issues.
- Recommend profitable deal structures that minimize credit risk.
- Align pricing to risk adjusted return on capital.
- Lead in driving automation of credit rating tools.
- Manage SLAs with Lending Units.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Possess a degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting or similar from a recognized and reputable tertiary institution.
- Possession of a Master’s degree in Business, Finance or similar is an added advantage.
- Have at least 8 years’ experience in a similar role in a Banking institution and/or financial services environment.
- Have solid financial planning and analysis skills.
- Demonstrate strong understanding and knowledge of the Banking Act, RBZ regulations and other related governing legislation.
- Possess good report writing and presentation skills.
- Have strong leadership and management skills.
- Should possess above average interpersonal skills.
