Quality Assurance Manager
Job Summary
Our purpose is to inspire healthier communities by providing global standard health and wellness solutions. In pursuit of this purpose, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee MEDLABS’ quality management system and ensure high-quality pathology service with accurate, timely results in accordance with the ISO 15189 standard.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Ensuring the processes for the quality management system are established,
implemented, and maintained by setting objectives, conducting management reviews, and conducting internal and external audits.
Developing, reviewing, adapting, and maintaining laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.
Reviewing the quality assurance reports from the Section Leads, providing details about the system operations, quality indicators, and timelines.
Identifying and liaising with suppliers on performance evaluation, development and implementation of new testing procedures and equipment in line with current pathology trends and innovation.
Visiting branch laboratories to standardize laboratory operations and check the adherence of laboratory staff to established policies and procedures.
Coordinating identification, documentation and handling of non-conformances and customer complaints to ensure continual improvement.
Analysing laboratory statistics and periodic data to establish clinical and productivity trends and recommend service improvement.
Key Competencies
The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of the ISO 15189:2022 standard and internal auditing, the ability to lead, manage and develop staff, and the ability to analyse and solve complex problems to achieve the correct outcomes.
Clear verbal and written communication and the ability to negotiate, interact and achieve targets is essential, as the role involves collaborating with diverse medical professionals and patients.
Qualifications
Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences
Postgraduate qualification in Quality Management
Minimum of 2-4 years experience in a pathology testing environment
