Job Details
Applicants must have at least a Journeyman Class One/Two Certificate Plumber and two (2) years working experience. In addition, applicants must have five (5) ordinary level passes including English Language. Testimonials and/or recommendations from previous employers should be attached.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Taking care of plumbing tools e.g. dice – drain roads-spanners;
- Rectifying leakages as and when necessary;
- Excavating damaged pipes to expose leakages for repairs and general excavation of new works to sewer and water drains;
- Mixing concrete for footings to drains and hunching using concrete stones, river sand and cement;
- Carrying all materials to construction points e.g. gutters, gutter down pipes, ladders pipes etc;
- Carrying and placing all left over materials in appropriate positions.
- Arranging scaffolds using planks or frames for easier access to higher positions when necessary;
- Cleaning and seeing that plumber’s tools are returned back to the storeroom;
- Ensuring that all excavated areas have been covered well using shovels;
- Any other work related duties as assigned by the superior.
