Job Details
Applicants must have at least a Journeyman Class Three/Four and two (2) years working experience. In addition, applicants must have five (5) ordinary level passes. Testimonials and/or recommendations from previous employers should be attached.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting in assembling mechanical components according to specifications;
- Assisting in maintaining work logs, repairs, and maintenance records;
- Assisting with setting up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements);
- Assisting with operating angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded;
- Assisting in welding components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead);
- Assisting in repairing machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps;
- Assisting in maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety;
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
