We are hiring
Pharmacy Technician (Chemotherapy)
The Role
Prepares chemo trays daily.
Checks expiry dates on all ward stock.
Submits and responds to audit queries.
Reconstitutes and mixes chemotherapy drugs.
Labels and submits drugs to nurses for administration.
Conducts daily stock take of chemotherapy ward stock.
Cleans and disinfects laminar cabinet pre and post preparation of drugs.
Documents in book all items used during chemo mixing for each patient.
Checks charge sheets generated by nurses for completeness and accuracy.
Calculates and documents doses required and quantities for reconstitution.
Captures drugs and sundries used by each patient daily into the Trimed system.
Replenishes stocks and communicates with the Stock manager on any new requirements.
Receives patient protocols and checks drugs received for adequacy and dosage availability.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes:
Basic computer skills
Training in aseptic techniques.
Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
At least 2 years hospital pharmacy experience
Membership of Pharmacists Council of Zimbabwe
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
