What we expect from you.
- To participate in the awareness of Infrastructure Architecture and roadmaps
- Researching new technologies design to be utilized in the organization for Infrastructure efficiency.
- Participate in creation of ad-hoc infrastructure designs and recommendation to the Manager.
- Analyze and drive project requirements, design and implement multi-layer infrastructure in liaison with the superior.
- Create infrastructure designs for the implementation of new solutions.
- Investigate, understand and document the current Infrastructure environment
- Determine client requirements and provide designs for complex Hybrid IT solutions including managed Hosting Infrastructure, Cloud, Virtualization, managed Services Solutions.
- Contribute to the construction of infrastructure architecture components.
- Participate in infrastructure architecture standards that are in-line with customer and IT needs
- Resolution of incidents as per the incident management guidelines and ensure calls do not always go overdue.
- Monitor proactive capacity management activities on IT Infrastructure to prevent service disruptions.
- Raise changes and system enhancements as per CBZ Change Management guidelines.
- Ensure a smooth implementation of new technologies into the computer system infrastructure
- Design and fulfill functional and technical requirements, adhere to processes and standards.
- Attend to customer issues in the existing infrastructure and propose solutions to fix them.
- Participate in alternatives to existing solutions that will lead to better performance, useful new features, and easier maintenance
- HW asset assessment and recommendation.
- Identify risks associated with IT Infrastructure architect solutions
- Attend to all exceptions raised by audits are addressed timeously and avoid repeats.
- Participate in the creation of procedures and guidelines for activities within the sub unit.
- Carry out system documentation for IT Infrastructure architect unit.
- Document IT Infrastructure architect processes
- Ensure compliance with regulations and laws
- Attend to audit of the existing customer infrastructure, collect all needed information on hardware, network, storage, servers and build an audit report.
- Participate in the setup of operating standards for IT Infrastructure architecture.
- Assist in Data center designs.
- Implement and maintain technologies and platforms supporting a complex landscape of data centers
- Participate in the design the physical arrangement of the Data center systems.
Qualifications, Skills and experience required
- Bachelors’ degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent from a recognised institution
- ITIL Foundation
- COBIT
- CCNA
- CISA
- INFRASTRUCTUTE DESIGNS CERTIFICATIONS
- 3 Years’ experience of Computer Operations in a Data Center environment
- Knowledge of Banking and Banking Systems.
- Good Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
- Good Communication Skills.
- Familiarity with Virtualisation Technologies
- Knowledge of a wide range of Operating Systems
- Familiarity with Telecommunication Technologies
- Knowledge of Database Management systems and Storage Systems
- Good Management Skills
