MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB SUMMARY

Coordinates and supervises the implementation environmental health activities in the area of jurisdiction.
Develops strategies to prevent and manage diseases in the area of jurisdiction
Inspects premises for licensing and registration certificates issuance.
Examines and approves building plans.
Collaborates with other departments to design infrastructure that prevents environmental degradation.
Identifies and proposes areas for environmental health policy reviews and recommends for adoption.
Identifies and proposes areas for environmental health policy reviews and recommends for adoption.
Supervises subordinates.

Qualifications Requirements

A Degree Environmental Health, Public Health or equivalent.
Must be registered under Environmental Health Practitioner’s Council of Zimbabwe.
A valid practising certificate.
A clean class 4 driver’s license.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
At least 4 years experience in a similar work environment.
