DIRECTOR OPERATIONS AND CUSTOMER SERVICES
Responsibilities
Provides leadership of ground handling operations countrywide in accordance with regulatory requirements , organization standards and local procedures as well as the requirements of the customer airlines.
Develops and implements comprehensive ground handling operations strategies, budgets and operational plans to achieve the company’s goals and objectives that are constantly monitored, evaluated and controlled;.
Develops and implements policies, systems, programs and procedures in support of the company’s goals and objectives, compliance with applicable regulations and standards/ best industry practice, and customers’ requirements.
Monitors and evaluates operational performance against established targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, airlines, and service providers.
Identifies and implements innovative technologies and processes to optimize operational effectiveness.
Provides input in the preparation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with the customers and ensures that the service delivery is as documented in the SLAs.
Ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service experiences, addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
Advises the Board on strategic ground handling issues and implements appropriate changes in line with industry standards and regulations.
Ensures that Risk Management process is applied throughout the National Handling Services ground operations network.
Oversees the maintenance of equipment ensuring availability and serviceability of all Ground Support Equipment
Ensures a healthy, safe and secure working environment in conjunction with relevant legislative/industry requirements and customer requirements
Ensures all Ground Services non-compliances are closed within stipulated time frame through identification the root cause.
Qualifications and experience required:
Degree in Marketing, Business Management or related qualification.
Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification
Diploma in Aviation/ Station Management or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
Master’s Degree is an advantage,
5 years relevant experience managing aviation ground handling operations
Knowledge of equipment maintenance and management of workshops is a requirement
