CATEGORY/FUNCTION INTRODUCTION

This Controls & Reporting Lead will be joining the Zimbabwe Controller’s Team.  The position offers exposure to both internal and external business partners including; Finance Business Partners, Internal and External Auditors and 3rd party service providers.

JOB PURPOSE

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Performs and/or reviews sensitive accounting processes for reporting purposes (e.g. posting judgemental journals, updating non-judgemental journal details, drafting desktop procedures)
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors for annual audited financial statements.
  • Analyze and interpreting financial data by working in conjunction with business partners in and outside Finance.
  • Analyze and make recommendations for procedure and process improvements within Zimbabwe Finance.
  • Assist Finance Controller in special projects and assignments.
  • Co-ordinate the implementation within the business of new policies, procedures or controls pertaining to authority and limits.
  • Monitor Zimbabwe Controls based on all available frameworks such as Global Financial Controls Framework across the various available channels.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Experiences & Qualifications

Minimum

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional Accounting Qualification an added advantage (CIMA, ACCA, CA)
  • Clear understanding of general ledger concepts and SAP experience
  • Minimum 2 years process improvement or controls experience with proven integrity

Preferred

  • Able to facilitate, persuade, influence and build credibility with different work levels and functions.
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work in a team and produce quality output within deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, prioritization skill and time management.
