A local faith based Non-Governmental Organization involved in development, advocacy and humanitarian
work seeks to fill the following vacant positions:
JOB TITLE: COMMUNICATIONS AND VISIBILITY ASSISTANT
Purpose of the position
The Communications and Visibility Assistant is mainly responsible for the visibility of the
organization’s Humanitarian work.
Responsibilities:
• Lead in producing and editing humanitarian work articles for the department.
• Conduct photography and videography of all humanitarian work.
• Designing material for stakeholders and partners.
• Enusure visibility of humanitarian work through creating magazines and publications.
• Establish or maintain up-to-date documentation for communication materials including
publications, press releases and clippings, photographs, audio-visual materials, web resources
etc.
• Maintain and update a wide coverage of organisational humanitarian work on all social media
platforms.
• Assist in the development of humaniatarian work documentaries for the organisation.
• Produce weekly, monthly and qaurtely communication and visibility reports.
Desired Qualifications, technical skills and experience
1. Bachelors’ degree in Media/ Public Relations/ Communication.
2. A Masters’ degree is an added advantage.
3. At least 2 years working experience.
4. Ability to perform field assignments and willingness to travel frequently to project sites across
the country.
5. Committed to the humanitarian principles, organizational policies and code of conduct
6. Actively involved in journalism and social media.
7. Ability to write sound articles for the department and the organisation at large.
