Our client in the retail distribution industry is looking for an Assistant Sales Manager to join them soon.
Responsibilities
- Driving sales strategy to grow existing accounts as well as identifying new channel opportunities to drive incremental sales.
- Interpreting market trends & identifying business opportunities through market mapping and research
- Ensure achievement of agreed targets for all defined categories and products
- Provide quality market intelligence on economic trends and competitor activities
- Support the development & execution of RTM along with secondary sales of distributors.
- Ensuring cost cutting on distribution & logistics expenditure
- Conduct multi-level reviews of planning – DOR, WOR, MOR, QOR etc.
- Tracking, preparing, and presenting sales performance reports & logistics
- Planning of promotional activities
- Ensure effective visual merchandising of products across all channels
- Build on customer-centered culture of company
- Maximizing sales team potential & crafting sales plan
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in sales in the FMCG industry.
- Experience in both general & modern trade across multiple provinces, with a higher focus being on Harare, Midlands & Mashonaland Central, East & West.
- Solid experience in developing new business with proven track record
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, sales-driven, proactive, goal-oriented with an entrepreneur mindset.
- Strong in communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
