Job Details
The Senior ICT Technician will maintain the University’s data centre equipment and the end-user equipment, ensuring that the University’s data centres runs smoothly, maintaining the critical systems that power our university’s network.
Duties and Responsibilities
Data Centre Management:
Overseeiing the daily operations of the data centre, ensuring all equipment functions optimally.
System Maintenance:
Performing routine checks and maintenance on servers, storage, and network devices.
Technical Leadership:
Providing guidance and support to ICT Technicians, setting standards for data centre operations.
Incident Response:
Leading response to any data centre emergencies or outages, minimizing downtime.
Innovation and Improvement:
Continuously seeking ways to improve data centre efficiency and performance.
