Job Details
The ICT Operations and Support Manager will be a key player in maintaining the University’s digital ecosystem. Reporting directly to the ICT Director, he/she will oversee technical support services, ensuring that end-user equipment remains efficient, secure, and up-to-date. The member’s collaboration with the Systems Manager and Infrastructure and Network Manager will be essential in achieving our technological goals.
The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Information Systems or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrate expertise in software, hardware, and computer networks. The applicant must be able to thrive in a team-oriented environment and able to work seamlessly with colleagues across departments. An ITIL certification will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
Technical Support Excellence:
- Ensuring provision of timely and effective technical assistance to end-users.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal disruptions.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Regularly assessing and maintaining end-user devices, including laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals.
Service Delivery:
- Managing service requests, prioritising tasks, and meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
Collaboration:
- Working closely with the Systems Manager and Infrastructure and Network Manager to align ICT strategies, optimize resources, and enhance overall system performance.
