MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER (FREELANCE)

A vacancy has risen in the Administration Department of a leading Pension Fund and applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

1. Developing a Fund Communication and Marketing strategy and strategic business plans for
the Fund
2. Researching and analysing market trends and competitors and coming up with the necessary recommendations to Management
3. Tracking the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and reporting findings to Management
4. Negotiating and liaising with third-party marketing agencies
5. Planning and directing PR programs including arranging press conferences and events where necessary

6. Managing client relationships and building relationships with the media houses 7. Monitoring member and media opinions of the Fund to identify complimentary and media
opportunities
8. Writing and editing clear, concise, and compelling marketing material, press releases. leaflets, brochures, speeches, newsletters, websites, social media content, and in-house magazines
9. Coordinating and implementing Fund communications programs arising from approved strategies regarding corporate affairs, media relations, Stakeholder engagement, branding and member communication
10. Managing all Fund communication platforms and content development

QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY ATTRIBUTES

Possession of at least a Degree in Marketing/Public Relations or equivalent
At least 3 years experience in the development of communication products with proven
experience in writing, editing, public speaking, brand management processes, marketing, and
media relations
Proven understanding of pension funds from strategic business planning process through to logistics and technical issues
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
