Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Workshop Maintenance Manager to join them soon.

Requirements
• Salary to be discussed with short listed candidates.
• Degree/ Diploma in relevant field of technical/mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 8 years’ work experience in a workshop environment 3 of which must be at management/supervisory level.
• Experience with Powerstar, Mann, Freightliner, Shacman, Eicher and UD trucks is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, analytical, and organised.
• Knowledge of MS office 365 packages.
• Prepared to work under minimum supervision.

Responsibilities
• Effectively and efficiently managing the daily operations of the Workshop department with the key objective of reducing the turnaround time of maintenance and repair works by Workshop staff for the mining and logistics fleets.
• Developing and leading a cohesive team capable of planning and executing day-to-day activities in a safe, professional, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
• Ensure effective collaboration and coordination with the Supply Chain team to ensure that all required spares for maintenance and repair works are on hand and immediately available.
• Proactive response to external factors to ensure that required arrangements (contingencies) are always in place for timely dispatch of the fleet out of the Workshops.
• Management of off-site/remote workshop mechanics to ensure minimal breakdown times.
• Performing regular workshop audits to ensure SHERQ compliance and providing month end/quarterly report.
• Ensure that all equipment and machinery (electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical) are maintained in good working condition by adhering to planned preventive maintenance and repair schedules.

• Maintaining standardized policies and procedures across the entire workshop department.
• Workshop team performance management and development, to optimize utilization through the effective implementation of performance appraisals.
• Contribute to the continuous development of workshop workflow systems design and staff to ensure optimum benefit to the Company through reduction of waste and efficiency improvement.
• 3rd Party/contractor performance and relationship management
