VMMC DEMAND CREATION FIELD ASSISTANT
Zimbabwe Community Health Intervention Research Project (ZiCHIRE) is partnering the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) in implementing the Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) programme in various districts in Zimbabwe. We are looking for a qualified and experienced candidate to fill in the position of Demand Creation Field Assistant in Matobo District, covering Tshelanyemba and Maphisa
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal Candidate should have the following Qualifications and Experience
• Degree/Diploma in Health Promotion, Social Sciences, Environmental Health or Adult education.
• At least 2 years practical experience in public health-related interventions (e.g., HIV/AIDS programmes).
• The ability to speak Ndebele fluently is a MUST.
• Extensive knowledge of effective and innovative community mobilisation approaches.
• Ability to engage and train/orient community cadres at various levels (e.g., traditional leaders, church leaders, mobilisers).
• Knowledge of and relevant experience with VMMC-related demand creation programming an added advantage.
• Ability to mobilise older adolescents (15 years +) and adult males to get circumcised.
• Clean Class 4 driver’s licence, with at least 3 years of driving experience a MUST.
• Demonstrable experience with driving Land-cruisers is a MUST.
• Possession of a valid defensive driving certificate an added advantage.
