Job Description

  • Supervise the accurate processing of treasury transactions. Including payments, receipts, and settlements.
  • Ensure timely execution of foreign exchange, money market, and Investment transactions.
  • Identify discrepancies and investigate any issues related to transactions or balances.
  • Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly treasury reports.
  • Provide insights on cash positions, liquidity, and transaction volumes.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements Implement and monitor compliance procedures to mitigate risks Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to automate manual processes where feasible.
  • Supervise and mentor back office staff, providing training and support.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all Treasury transactions.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Ensure that all counterparties meet competence and credit standards
  • Work closely with front-office treasury staff to ensure smooth transaction flow Liaise with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

  • Experience Minimum of 3 years in the Financial Services Sector
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Business Studies, Accounting, Banking and Finance.
    Skills Required
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experience in treasury back office operations and risk management.

Employment: Permanent
Location: Harare, Zimbabwe
Remuneration: Negotiable, to be discussed with the successful candidate
