Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position which will be based in Matopo Regional Office. The incumbent will be reporting to the Tourist Officer.
Duties (Responsibilities)
- Opening and closing sales through telephone, email and walk in clients,
- Assisting in processing booking cancellations, alterations or amendments,
- Participating at relevant travel shows and exhibitions,
- Liaising actively with walk-in customers in relation to bookings,
- Providing information to customers on non-consumptive products and
services, - Welcoming and ensuring that clients are attended to within reasonable time to minimise customer frustration,
- Handling customer queries and refer problematic/ complex cases to supervisor,
- Compiling of monthly statistics, occupancies and reports required and,
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required
- 5 ‘O’ levels including English,
- A Degree in Tourism/Marketing or a related field,
- Strong verbal and good report writing skills,
- Strong interpersonal skills, professional maturity, openness and collaborative skills
- Computer literacy
- At least two years relevant experience or more in front office duties
- Good team player.
- Above 18 years.
