Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the
above mentioned vacancies in the Town Planning Division of the Department of Works
in City of Harare.
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for drafting of road infrastructure designs, plans, graphs and diagrams,
administration of outdoor advertising operations, and issuance of route permits.
KEY RESULT AREAS
Designs and drafts plans required for the provision of public transport
infrastructure, road network and road infrastructure.
Assists Planners in socio-economic surveys and the production of Traffic Local
and Master Plans.
Assists Planners in developing road safety, cycling and pedestrian strategies.
Scrutinizes building plans, subdivisions and consolidation circulations for
compliance.
Identification of billboard sites and advertising for tenders.
Enforces advertising permit conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
National Diploma in Town Planning or Civil Engineering
Computer literacy with demonstrated knowledge of auto CAD and/or GIS.
One year post qualification experience.
Membership to a relevant Institute will be an added advantage.
Clean Class 4 Driver’s licence an added advantage.
