1.TECHNICIAN/SENIOR TECHNICIAN (4 POSTS)
POST A: Faculty of Commerce
POST B: Faculty of Communication and Information Science: Department of Journalism
and Media Studies
POST C: Faculty of Medicine: Department of Psychiatry, Social & Behavioural Sciences
POST D: Faculty of Science and Technology Education
Applicants must have a Higher National Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Studies or
equivalent and three years’ post-qualification experience; or a Degree in Information
Technology/Computer Science/Informatics or equivalent and one-year post-qualification experience.
Applicants must have experience in both hardware and software maintenance as well as possess
intimate knowledge of office software applications and networking. CCNA or A+ Certification will
be an added advantage.
For appointment to the Senior Technician grade, applicants must have a Degree in Information
Technology/Computer Science/Electronics or equivalent and at least three years’ post-qualification
experience.
2. MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST/SENIOR MEDICAL LABORATORY
TECHNOLOGIST (TECHNICIAN/SENIOR TECHNICIAN) (2 POSTS)
Department of Pathology
Applicants must have a Degree in the Bachelor of Health Sciences in Medical Laboratory Science or
Biomedical sciences or a Specialist Diploma or equivalent qualification in Medical Laboratory
Sciences in any of the following disciplines: Microbiology, Immunology, Histology, Clinical
Chemistry, Haematology and Blood Transfusion Science. In addition, they must have at least two
years’ relevant experience in a teaching or diagnostic laboratory setting. Candidates should be
registered or registrable with the Health Professions Authority through the Medical Laboratory and
Clinical Scientists Council of Zimbabwe.
