Qualifications
- B-Tech / BSc Honours Degree or an equivalent in the relevant field plus
- Three (3) years of laboratory experience in a tertiary institution, research institute or relevant industry.
- Or Higher National Diploma plus five (5) years relevant experience.
- Relevant Professional Certifications are an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate would be required, among other duties, to:
- Ensure that all computer systems, hardware, and software in the laboratory are properly maintained, updated, and in working condition.
- Set up and configuring computer systems, and network infrastructure in the laboratory.
- Provide technical assistance and support to students, faculty, and staff who use the computer science laboratory
- Ensure the security and integrity of the laboratory’s computer systems and data
- Collaborate with faculty members, researchers, and students to facilitate laboratory activities, experiments, and projects
- Assist students and users with laboratory procedures, software applications, and programming languages commonly used in computer science.
- Ensuring that the laboratory adheres to safety regulations and guidelines.
