Position: TECHNICAL SALES PERSON / GLASS

The incumbent will have the following key responsibilities;

  • Design glass solutions and create Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for selling all aluminum accessories.
  • Identify and assess the technical needs of clients, providing suitable product recommendations.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies in response to changes in consumer behavior.
  • Simplify complex technical information for customers to ensure understanding.
  • Follow up with clients to address any issues and ensure satisfaction.
  • Keep customers updated on new product developments and technological advancements.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and reports related to technical products.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets consistently.
  • Provide regular sales performance updates to management.
  • Maintain accurate customer communication records and contact details.
  • Adhere to all company SOPs, policies, statutory regulations, and expected behaviors, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Generate new business through telemarketing and relationship-building activities.
  • Participate in marketing and sales initiatives to drive product visibility and engagement.
  • Accurately process customer quotations in a timely manner.
  • Follow up with prospects, collaborating with sales teams to schedule meetings.
  • Ensure that all sales are made in accordance with the prescribed Gross Profit margins (GP).
  • Provide after-sales support and services to ensure customer retention.
  • Retain and grow the existing customer base.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to design, develop and articulate solutions based on requirements
  • Experience in glass handling & fitting is an added advantage
  • Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of how the glass products work.
  • Experience is Construction is desirable.
  • Is able to learn quickly and work under pressure.
  • Relevant technical background or experience in the glass industry or a related field.
  • Proven track record in technical sales or business development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals.
