Position: TECHNICAL SALES PERSON / GLASS
The incumbent will have the following key responsibilities;
- Design glass solutions and create Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for selling all aluminum accessories.
- Identify and assess the technical needs of clients, providing suitable product recommendations.
- Develop and implement sales strategies in response to changes in consumer behavior.
- Simplify complex technical information for customers to ensure understanding.
- Follow up with clients to address any issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Keep customers updated on new product developments and technological advancements.
- Prepare detailed proposals and reports related to technical products.
- Meet or exceed sales targets consistently.
- Provide regular sales performance updates to management.
- Maintain accurate customer communication records and contact details.
- Adhere to all company SOPs, policies, statutory regulations, and expected behaviors, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Generate new business through telemarketing and relationship-building activities.
- Participate in marketing and sales initiatives to drive product visibility and engagement.
- Accurately process customer quotations in a timely manner.
- Follow up with prospects, collaborating with sales teams to schedule meetings.
- Ensure that all sales are made in accordance with the prescribed Gross Profit margins (GP).
- Provide after-sales support and services to ensure customer retention.
- Retain and grow the existing customer base.
Minimum Requirements
- 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to design, develop and articulate solutions based on requirements
- Experience in glass handling & fitting is an added advantage
- Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of how the glass products work.
- Experience is Construction is desirable.
- Is able to learn quickly and work under pressure.
- Relevant technical background or experience in the glass industry or a related field.
- Proven track record in technical sales or business development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals.
