Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, the Technical Sales Assistant shall have a clear understanding of aluminium products and the ability to demonstrate how they work and suit into clients’needs and conceptual frameworks. Their responsibilities will include establishing the needs of the customer and recommending and demonstrating products.
Establishing the technical needs of the clients and suggesting appropriate products.
Explaining complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable.
Following up with customers and resolving any issues that may arise.
Keeping customers informed about new technological products.
Compiling proposals and reports related to technical products.
Assisting customers via the telephone, email and face-to-face.
Producing quotations and raising manufacturing orders.
Liaising with the workshop and other teams and tracking orders through to their completion.
At least 3 years of proven technical sales experience in large hardware/ construction/ manufacturing environment
Strong background in Aluminium is a distinct advantage.
A clean Class 4 driver’s license
Diploma in Sales and Marketing/ Business Management or any relevant qualification.
A certificate or diploma is Project Management is an added advantage.
Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of how the aluminium products work.
Well-groomed individuals with exceptional conduct and etiquette.
Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Tech-savvy with good technical and IT skills.
