Action for Youth Foundation Trust

Reports to: Head of Research & Technical Services

Action for Youth Foundation Trust, a registered not-for-profit, non-governmental organization, seeks a Technical Officer: Legal Services to provide expert guidance and support on a voluntary basis.

Our organization aims to create a safe and conducive environment for youths living with HIV, Orphans & Vulnerable Children, and Youths in Key Population Communities in Zimbabwe.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance on legal issues related to HIV/TB, SRHR, and youth rights
  • Support the development and review of policies, laws, and regulations affecting youth
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advocate for youth-friendly laws and policies
  • Provide capacity-building training for staff and partners on legal issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in legal practice, human rights, or a related field
  • Experience working with youth, HIV, TB, or SRHR programs is an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Zimbabwean laws and policies related to youth, HIV, and SRHR
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
