Action for Youth Foundation Trust
Reports to: Head of Research & Technical Services
Action for Youth Foundation Trust, a registered not-for-profit, non-governmental organization, seeks a Technical Officer: Legal Services to provide expert guidance and support on a voluntary basis.
Our organization aims to create a safe and conducive environment for youths living with HIV, Orphans & Vulnerable Children, and Youths in Key Population Communities in Zimbabwe.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance on legal issues related to HIV/TB, SRHR, and youth rights
- Support the development and review of policies, laws, and regulations affecting youth
- Collaborate with stakeholders to advocate for youth-friendly laws and policies
- Provide capacity-building training for staff and partners on legal issues
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in legal practice, human rights, or a related field
- Experience working with youth, HIV, TB, or SRHR programs is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of Zimbabwean laws and policies related to youth, HIV, and SRHR
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
