Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants should hold a first degree in Sports Science/Sports Management or their equivalent in the First Class Division.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the mandate of the University through teaching, research, University/community service, innovation, and industrialisation;
- The ideal candidates must be able to offer tutorial services in at least three (3) Sports Science courses, three (3) Sports Management courses and two (2) Practical Courses at the undergraduate level from the following list:
- Sports Science Courses: Sport and Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics in Sport and Exercise, Nutrition and Metabolism in Sport, Sports Psychology, Motor Skills Acquisition and Development, Biochemistry of Physical Activity, Sports Coaching Pedagogy and Practice, Testing, Measurement and Evaluation in Sport, Sports Performance Analysis, Talent Identification and Development, Environmental Sustainability in Sport, Physical Activity and Wellness Promotion and Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Sports Management Courses: Sports Marketing, Corporate Governance in Sport, Human Resources Management in Sport, Strategic Management in Sport, Financial Management in Sport, Sports Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Sports Law, Integrity and Policy, Safeguarding in Sport, Sports for Sustainable Development, Facilities and Event Management, Risk Management in Sport, Sports Tourism and Recreation, Stakeholder Management in Sport, Supply Chain Management in Sport and Communication and Media Relations in Sport.
- Practical Courses: Adapted Physical Activity, Athletics, Field Sports, Court Sports, Indoor Sports, Aquatic Sports and Combat Sports.
