following posts that have arisen in the University:
INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (1 POST)
The ICT Department seeks a skilled Systems Administrator to join the ICT team. The
ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the
reliability of our computer systems and networks.
Qualifications
▪ Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ information systems/ information and
communication technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
▪ Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
▪ Strong knowledge of system security and data protection.
▪ Knowledge of Belina, and Pastel, are an added advantage.
▪ Knowledge of MSSQL, and MySql, are an added advantage
▪ Proficiency in Windows/Linux operating systems.
▪ Familiarity with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
▪ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
▪ Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
▪ Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and application software.
▪ Ensure the integrity and security of systems and data.
▪ Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
▪ Perform regular system backups and recovery operations.
▪ Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
▪ Collaborate with other IT staff to optimise system performance.
▪ Provide support to Students, and Staff in the University.
