SWIMMING COACH (HWANGE PROPERTY COMPANY)
Hwange Colliery Company Limited Holdings, a diversified local organization with investment interests in mining, agriculture, energy, medical health, real estate and financial services, has a vacancy for the position of Swimming Coach. This is a supervisory position which reports to the Clubs Manager and requires an interactive individual with a passion for helping swimmers to achieve their full potential.

Key Result Areas

• Swimming club formation and registration with Zimbabwe Aquatics
• Swimming pool facility and equipment maintenance
• Improving swimmer technique and efficiency
• Attracting and retaining talented swimmers and or customers to the club
• Developing relationships with stakeholders to promote the club
• Ensuring a safe swimming environment, adhering to safety protocols and minimizing risk
• Managing risk and minimizing the likelihood of accidents or injuries
• Developing and implementing emergency response plans
• Ensuring revenue growth through swimming lessons, programs and services

Person Specifications and Requirements

• Swimming knowledge i.e. strong understanding of various swimming techniques
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Skill in the application of life guarding surveillance and rescue techniques Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
• Ability to determine appropriate course of action in complex situations
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both orally and in writing
• Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• Swimming coaching certificate or Better with a reputable institution
• Five (5) Ordinary level subjects including Maths and English
• Post Training Qualifications e.g. First Aid and CPR certifications
• A qualification in sports management will be an added advantage
• Must have worked at least five (5) years in the field
