Summary
Stores Assistant is responsible for issuing and managing inventory to user departments.
Qualifications and Experience
A higher National Diploma / Degree in Accounting or Purchasing and Supply management
At least 2 years of relevant post qualification working experience
Skills and competences
Ability to work under pressure and pay attention to detail
Duties and Responsibilities
Stores Assistant has a wide range of responsibilities, which include:
Managing inventory through checking and verifying re-order levels.
Raising purchase requisitions for stock replenishment purposes.
Inspecting and receiving merchandise from suppliers.
Maintenance of warehouses, ensuring an orderly arrangement of inventories for easy retrieval when issuing.
Issuing of inventory to user departments
Updating of inventory management records
Performing inventory checks and balances on a daily basis
Participating in monthly and year end stock counts.
Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
