Our client, in the mining industry within Zimbabwe, is looking for an experienced stock manager with experience in mining, to join their team.
The ideal candidate must have:
Inventory Management:
Tracking stock levels, including raw materials, equipment, and consumables, ensuring they are adequate for the mining operations.
Monitoring stock movement and updating records on a daily basis.
Implementing inventory control models to optimize cost, reduce lead times, and minimize stock levels.
Purchasing and Supply Chain:
Forecasting demand and coordinating with suppliers to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Tracking shipments and resolving any delays or issues.
Ensuring that stock is received and posted into the system immediately.
Audits and Reporting:
Performing regular inventory audits and reconciling physical stock with system records.
Preparing and sharing daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
Monitoring inventory health and identifying areas for improvement.
Data Analysis and Optimization:
Analyzing data to identify trends, optimize inventory levels.
Developing and implementing strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
Communication and Collaboration:
Working with various departments, including sales, finance, and warehouse staff, to ensure smooth operations.
Collaborating with suppliers and transporters to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Other Duties:
Raising goods received notes (GRVs).
Managing all aspects of stock and equipment movement.
Ensuring that minimum stock levels are maintained.
