NSSA is an organisation undergoing a transformation journey to position itself as a modern and relevant entity that delivers real value to its members through responsive social security services. In addition, we strive to stimulate economic activity, generate foreign currency and create jobs for the benefit of Zimbabweans.
The new NSSA conducts its business in an honest, accountable, and transparent manner and we seek to recruit like-minded individuals in the above-mentioned area. (Fixed Term Contract 3 Years x1)

Reporting to the Research and Schemes Planning Manager, the successful candidate will research on social security trends and developments nationally, regionally, and internationally. The role also exist to plan and develop new social security schemes as well as compiling, processing and analysing WCIF and POBS data for dissemination of the information to internal and external users and to enable the Authority to be in a better position to evaluate its schemes.

DUTIES
Designing and reviewing data gathering instruments.
Conducting surveys. Developing and planning new schemes.
Carrying out research work on existing NSSA Schemes and social security developments nationally, regionally and internationally to enhance the planning of organisational activities.
Conducting user enquiries to identify data requirements for clients to ensure the collection of only relevant data for specific clients.

Training suppliers of data to ensure they provide relevant data and capacitate them with interpretative skills to interpret Authority forms.
Process and analyse data using SPSS, Excel and Word in order to come up with a statistical reports and ad hoc reports.
Maintain an Occupation Injury database for injuries occurring in the industries, updating records in the database and ensuring back-up to avoid information loss.
Participate in nationwide research and make presentations at national platforms to get information beneficial to management of NSSA activities.
Provision of in-house technical assistance in the design of questionnaires, sampling, data collection and analysis.

REQUIREMENTS
Business Studies and Computer Science/ Statistics/ Economics/ Mathematics/ Actuarial Science.
3-5 years’ experience.
A solid understanding of research principles and research methodologies.
Knowledge of the design of data collection tools.
Very good presentation skills.
Excellent report writing skills.
Business Awareness.
