Sports Marketing Officer (1 Post)

We are seeking a proactive and creative Sports Marketing Officer to elevate the Academy’s brand visibility, drive stakeholder engagement, and support dynamic promotional and fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field (a related Master’s degree would be an added advantage);
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in marketing, promotions, or communications, with experience in sports or youth-centered initiatives being highly desirable;
• Proven ability to develop and manage strategic marketing campaigns;
• Skills in digital content creation, social media management, and multimedia storytelling;
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Google Analytics, and Mailchimp;
• Demonstrable experience in sponsorship development, event branding, media engagement, and public relations; 

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, National Sports Academy, the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to following:

• Design and execute marketing strategies that amplify the Academy’s visibility, achievements, and institutional goals;
• Manage social media channels, website updates, and email communications to ensure consistent engagement and outreach;
• Design and produce impactful visual, written, and video content for various audiences;
• Foster media relationships, draft press releases, and coordinate interviews and coverage to build positive public perception;
• Prepare sponsorship proposals, fundraising campaigns, and coordinating related events;
• Promote Academy-hosted events such as tournaments, talent showcases, and alumni gatherings;
• Conduct audience and stakeholder research, analyse campaign performance, and produce marketing reports;
• Maintain strategic communication with partners, sponsors, fans and the University community;
• Do any other duties assigned by the Director of the National Sports Academy

• A passion for sports, youth empowerment, and impactful communication;
• Willingness to travel occasionally for events and outreach activities.
