About the Organization: PHOEBE Zimbabwe focuses on the lives of women and girls due to the gendered inequalities present in society which result in disadvantages for females. We recognize that women and girls do not live single-issue lives –therefore it offers a holistic, integrated model of care which seeks to support women and girls across a range of issues.  The organisation is connected to many schools in the Harare, holding in-school workshops about mental health and other issues, as well as putting on sporting activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. To deliver appropriate programmes of instruction to pupils which need to be well prepared and planned in advance.
2. To ensure that the environment within which the activity is to take place is safe, clean and prepared in advance for use by the pupils and report any deficiencies where necessary.
3. Be responsible for the conduct and safety of pupils whilst leading activity sessions.
4. Support learning by arranging/providing resources for lessons/activities under the direction of the teacher.
5. Use teaching and learning objectives to plan, evaluate and adjust sessions as appropriate within an agreed system of supervision.
6. To assist in the planning and organisation of the programme of activities to pupils, advising management of new trends and developments in activities where appropriate.
7. Support the organisation and co-ordination of sporting activities and events taking place throughout the school year.
8. Assess the needs of pupils and use knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils learning.
9. To support pupils in emotional and social wellbeing, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
10. Take responsibility for the safe use, storage and cleanliness of organisation’s equipment

Qualifications:

A Diploma or Degree in a relevant discipline.
