Sonographer – Cimas Jason Moyo Radiology
Job Summary
Cimas Health Group’s purpose is to inspire healthier communities by providing global standard health and wellness solutions. In pursuant to this purpose, Cimas is searching for a Sonographer to operate ultrasound machines and X-Rays in order to produce high quality diagnostic images that aid in the diagnosis of various patient conditions whilst maintaining radiation safety.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing the annual operating plan for the Radiology Unit and submits the plan to the Head Clinical Services.
- Identifying all Radiology operation requirements to ensure seamless operations, including but not restricted to, CAPEX and OPEX, human resources, equipment, projected numbers of patients and Cimas members.
- Developing the annual budget and submits to the Head Clinical Services for presentation to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and adherence to the prescribed standard operating procedures.
- Performing ultrasound scans and X-ray examinations for diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
- Developing ultrasound scan reports to facilitate for patient diagnosis.
- Maintaining daily logs of patients seen and overseeing billing procedures.
- Monitoring goods receipts, packing and storage of stocks in line with Cimas policies, procedures and manufacturer’s specifications.
- Performing random checks and reconciles Radiology stocks.
Key Competences
- The ideal candidate should possess the ability to analyse and solve work related problems to achieve the correct outcomes.
- Clear verbal, written communication and ability to prepare accurate reports are essential, as the role involves collaborating with a team of diverse medical professionals and patients.
Qualifications
- Masters/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
- Degree in Radiography.
- Minimum of 2-4 years practising as a Sonographer.
