CIMAS

Checks that the Cimas Radiology Unit is registered with the Health Professions Authority and the City Council.
Identifies all Radiology operation requirements to ensure seamless operations, including but not restricted to, CAPEX and OPEX, human resources, equipment, projected numbers of patients and Cimas members.
Develops the annual operating plan for the Radiology Unit and submits the plan to the Group Medical Advisor and Diagnostics Specialist.
Develops the annual budget and submits to the Group Medical Advisor and Diagnostics Specialist for presentation to the General Manager – Healthcare Services.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and adherence to the prescribed standard operating procedures.
Performs ultrasound scans and X-ray examinations for diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Develops ultrasound scan reports to facilitate for patient diagnosis.
Maintains daily logs of patients seen and oversees billing procedures.
Monitors goods receipts, packing and storage of stocks in line with Cimas policies, procedures and manufacturer’s specifications.
Performs random checks and reconciles Radiology stocks.
Investigates and reports on stock variances.
Participates in stock takes in conjunction with Finance as per Cimas calendar.
Uses and maintains various equipment ensuring that precautionary instructions are adhered to.
Monitors maintenance of machine logbook ensuring that utilisation and requests are correlating with the documented equipment.
Responsible for all radiation safety and checking equipment for any malfunctions.
THE PERSON
Holder of a Degree in Radiography.
Masters in Medical Ultrasound or Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
Registered with the Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe.
Valid Open Practicing Certificate (OPC)
