VACANCY NOTICE-SITE ENGINEER
JOB DESCRIPTION SAFETY HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT (SHE)
Implements and maintains SHE management systems applicable to all works. Ensures that safety risks that may arise from tasks, work instructions, procedures, machinery, tools, equipment, and infrastructure are kept under control for all works.
PLANT MAINTENANCE.
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
- Carry out inspections of the assets to identify and resolve issues
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
- Allocate workload and supervise staff and artisans
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
- Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
- Manage relationships with client, subcontractors and service providers
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
PROJECT MANAGEMENT.
- Produces project plans, technical reports and feasibility studies for the company.
- Provides technical consultancy service in the planning and implementation of projects within the organization.
- Manages and controls projects under execution with the view to ensuring above all their technical integrity, timely delivery and safe commissioning.
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- MSc Electrical or Mechanical Engineering an added advantage.
- 5 Years Maintenance Engineer prior work experience.
- Essential Specialist Skills/Knowledge Excellent supervisory skills.
- Proven experience in maintenance operations and planning.
- Understanding of technical aspects of thermal power plant and its mechanical systems is beneficial.
- Working knowledge machines and equipment
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities Good problem solving and decision-making skills.
