Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Section Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, as well as strong leadership skills to effectively manage and mentor a team of cooks. The Senior Section Cook will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes in their designated section of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and adherence to standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in their designated section of the kitchen
Create and modify menus and recipes to meet the needs and preferences of our guests
Train, mentor, and supervise junior cooks to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
Collaborate with other team members to consistently exceed guest expectations
Qualification and Skills:
3 years experience working as a chef in a professional kitchen
Class 1 professional cookery certificate
Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Creative and innovative approach to menu development
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
