Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of ZESA Holdings Group is the leading generator of electrical energy in Zimbabwe and supplies the bulk of the nation’s electrical power requirements from its 5 Power Stations. The Company is inviting suitably qualified and motivated persons to fill the above-mentioned vacant positions that have arisen at Hwange Power Station.
Reports to Maintenance Manager at Hwange Power.
DUTIES
Implements plant maintenance procedures relating to turbines, boilers, mills and boiler feed pumps.
Conducts trouble shooting using established criteria.
Ensures correct record keeping of plant history.
Carries out planned maintenance according to set procedures.
Implements corrective maintenance according to set procedures.
Attends planning meetings and submits section plans for consolidation.
Produces maintenance statistical reports for each plant item for submission to the Maintenance Manager.
Manages maintenance activities in the Thermal Cycle section.
Executes all activities in line with the Integrated Management System requirements (ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015).
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline.
Post Graduate qualification such as an MBA/MBL or equivalent is an added advantage.
Membership of the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers (ZIE).
6 years Post Graduate experience.
