Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the post of Substantive School Head for Gokomere High School, Gokomere High School belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Masvingo whose commitment is to form and educate the people of God following the command of Jesus Christ to “Go and teach all nations” (Mt.28:19).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provision of professional leadership to the school
Maintenance and improvement of standards and levels of learning and achievements in all facets of the school
Diligent implementation of Church and Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (MOPSE) policies
Overall responsibility over all school staff
Supervision of teachers to achieve excellent results
Instill high levels of discipline in learners
Work closely with the school stakeholders
Ensuring that all operational, financial and administrative functions are effectively executed
Reporting to the Church Responsible Authority and to the MOPSE
Maintain and develop performance management systems applicable to the modern day education sector
REQUIREMENTS
Interested persons should meet/have the following qualifications & qualities:
Be an experienced substantive head with sound comprehension of Cambridge and
Zimbabwe Secondary School Curriculum
Be conversant with Catholic Church and MOPSE education policies
Be flexible to work in a Catholic environment
Be a highly dedicated professional with excellent levels of integrity and honesty
Be of good morals and have never been the subject of any investigation over abuse and safeguarding issues
