A leading medical insurance firm is looking for suitably qualified persons to fill in the below position that has arisen within the organization
Position: Sales and Marketing Officer
Location: Harare
Main Purpose
Responsible for representing the company and market its products to generate sales and effectively leveraging relationships to drive business results in core business markets
Main Responsibilities
#Monitor and assess activities of our competitors to proactively satisfy and retain our clients.
#Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, and market activities
#Understand client needs and customize existing business products to meet their needs
#Research and recommend new opportunities that enhance profitability and service improvements
#Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, social media and turn into clients
#Generate adequate Sales Pipeline for core markets
#Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects
#Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products/ services
#Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer
#Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and provide Clients and Brokers with appropriate quotations
#Participate on behalf of the company in industry related exhibitions or conferences and act accordingly
#Advise on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions
#Assess the profitability of existing products and service offerings
#Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
#Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators in core markets
Qualifications and Experience
#Degree in Marketing/Health Administration
#5 years proven experience in a similar position
#3 years’ experience in the medical insurance sector
