A construction company based in Harare is urgently looking for a Safety and Health Consultant
who is ready to start work immediately.
JOB TITLE: Safety and Health Consultant (PART-TIME BASIS)
Job Description:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential health, safety, and environmental hazards on construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of SHE policies and procedures tailored to the construction environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess compliance with SHE policies.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure SHE standards
are maintained. - Analyze SHE performance data and prepare reports for management review.
Skills Required
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Extensive critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable in high-pressure and fast-paced environment
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and the Environment
- A minimum of five years field experience preferably in the Aluminium and Joinery industry
- A clean class 4 driver’s license
