Job Advert Summary
A Routine Tester is required to safely collect and prepare test samples as per schedule for the Lab Assistant. The incumbent conducts particle size analysis and basic gravimetric analysis. The role requires an understanding of the plant and equipment economics for timeous identification of challenges affecting processes and operations. The Tester should have working knowledge and application of the ISO 9001, ISO14001 & OSHAS18001 systems.
Minimum Requirements
A diploma or degree in Chemistry or equivalent
Two years process and laboratory experience
A Class 4 Drivers licence
Computer literacy and basic Microsoft skills
Working knowledge of Integrated management systems awareness
Basic understanding of cement and clinker manufacturing
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures that samples are collected and analyzed as per schedule in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepares samples as per procedures.
Completes all required documentation timeously and accurately.
Reports on deviations promptly.
Ensures that laboratory test equipment is properly cleaned and maintained to meet operational requirements.
Cleans the Laboratory area, shelves and floor also ensures the workstation is always clean and tidy.
Participation in company mandatory training programs and activities including first aid training, firefighting training, and SHE representative training.
