Job Description
- Analyze market risk exposure across various asset classes, Monitor and report on market risk metrics such as Value-at-Risk (VaR), stress testing results, and other risk measures.
- Develop, maintain and validate quantitative models for market risk assessment and risk measurement tools.
- Track and processes all deals made by the Treasury front office before being captured by the back office.
- Design and implement stress testing frameworks to assess the Impact of extreme market conditions on the bank’s portfolio.
- Reports on market risk exposures and model performance to
senior management and regulatory bodies. - Collaborate with Finance, and compliance teams to ensure effective risk management practices are in place.
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to risk management and model validation.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as Basel III and Prudential Risk Management Guidelines.
- Develop and implement strategies that align with overall company objectives. Plan and execute initiatives to drive growth and expansion.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Experience
- At least 2 years working experience in a similar or related field
Qualifications

- Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A degree will be an added advantage.
- FRM, CFA or other professional qualification
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, particulary Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge in one or more of the following coding languages (SAS, SQL,R,L, Python, VBA) is an additional advantage
Skills Required
- Significant technical skills in Excell and Power Point
- Educated to a degree level or equivalenting mathematics, statistics, economics or a related discipline
- Good analytical skills
- Pay attention to detail
- Business and financial judgement, and problem-solving skills
- Good Communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity and analytical approach to work
- Capable planner, able to deliver on target
