Our client with mining activities in Zimbabwe is looking for a qualified and experienced candidate to join their team. The ideal candidate must be geared towards mining geology rather than exploration geology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manipulation of the geological model that is obtained from the global resource quantification by applying given geological modifying factors. This position will report to the Project Manager and/or Technical Services Director and will work closely with mine design engineers.
Responsibilities
Maintain geological database
Updating of the mine’s resources and reserves.
Produce Mineral Resource Block Model
Generate Reserve
Produce Deposit specific dynamic geology model
Compliance with resource reserve reporting policy (SAMREC/ NI43-101 or JORC) and Sterilization Drilling.
Work with PFS/BFS teams and leading geology and mine planning related themes.

Budget preparation and presentation
Requirements
Degree in Geology or similar
Minimum 10 years’ experience with precious metals
Must have experience with SAMREC / NI43-101 or JORC
Have good reporting and administration skills
Willing to work remotely.
