FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND GEOSCIENCES
Research, Innovation and Industry Liaison Officer (RIILO) (1 Post)
Qualifications and Experience
- A first Degree (at least a 2.1) in Engineering.
- Minimum of one (1) year of industrial experience in the corporate world or government.
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent is an added advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate would be required among other things to:-
- Develop, strengthen and maintain linkages between the Faculty, Industry and Alumni.
- Devise and implement research and development projects for the mutual benefit of the Faculty and Industry.
- Promote two way mutually beneficial training, research and consultancy programmes between the Faculty and Industry.
- Market Faculty innovations and projects to MSU, Industry and other stakeholders.
- Advance issues of curriculum enhancement, Work Related Learning, graduate recruitment and programmes marketing to Industry and other stakeholders.
- Organise and manage Work Related Learning internships and field visits in consultation with Departments and Industry.
- Be a member of the Faculty Mining Industry Advisory Committee (MIAC) and Faculty Research and Innovation Committee.
- Any other duties as may be delegated by the Executive Dean.
