Job Description
The Reporting Accountant is a key role within the Cash Management Department, responsible for supervising all reporting activities and producing management accounts. This position ensures the accurate reporting of financial activities, costs, and cost volume analysis, providing critical insights to executives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports for the Cash Management Department.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of profit and loss statements and all departmental financial reports.
  • Generate and analyze ad-hoc reports to support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Utilize advanced analysis and reporting tools, including Excel, Power BI, and other business intelligence systems, to create comprehensive financial reports.
  • Monitor daily cash flows and maintain income trackers to ensure optimal cash management.
  • Conduct financial ratio analysis and trend analysis to provide insights into departmental performance.
  • Ensure the integrity of the departmental general ledgers and oversee reconciliations.
  • Address AML compliance issues relevant to the department and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Prepare accounting entries for new products and projects, ensuring accurate financial representation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data and ensure alignment with reporting requirements.
  • Maintain a hands-on approach to financial reporting and analysis, actively engaging with team members and stakeholders.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

Experience

  • At least 3 years reporting experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis within a cash management or banking environment.
  • Expert knowledge of reporting and analysis tools, including Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with AML regulations and reconciliation processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Employment: Permanent
Location: Harare, Zimbabwe
Remuneration: Negotiable which will be discussed with the successful candidate.
